VCBank, UIB set up realty firm
Venture Capital Bank (VCBank) and United International Bank (UIB), On Saturday announced the launch of a Shariah compliant real estate development company (Sakani) that will invest in the development of identified residential housing projects in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

VCB to set up fertiliser complex.
Venture Capital Bank (VCBank), an Islamic investment bank based in Bahrain, signed an agreement with Jordon Arab Fertilisers and Chemicals Company (JAFCCO) and a chemical fertiliser complex at White Valley in southern Jordan.

The bank has extended an invitation to its board members and shareholders, to attend the bank’s annual general meeting (AGM), as well as its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), both of which are being held on Sunday March 25th at the Movenpick Hotel, Bahrain.

Successful Beginning: VCBank posts $13.3m profit, announces divedend
Venture Capital Bank yesterday posted a net profit of $13.3 million for the period ended 31 December 2006, achieved a return on equity of 20.1 per cent, and is recommending a 12.5 per cent dividend of which 7.5 per cent cash and 5 per cent in bonus shares.
